Due to increased workload,we are looking for an additional person to join our veterinary team at Stowmarket.
**Objective**: To work under the veterinary surgeons and registered vet nurses to ensure the safe, accurate and timely supply of the prescribed veterinary medications for our clients’ pets.
**Hours of work**: Shifts will vary each week on shared rota, with some 7:30pm finishes and 1:3 Saturdays
**SUMMARY OF MAIN DUTIES**
- To accurately select and dispense veterinary medicines in accordance with the veterinary surgeon’s requirements
- To receive daily stock delivery and stock ordering
- Maintaining temperature records
- To take calls from clients requiring repeat medications
- To assist in maintaining appropriate stock levels and minimising wastage
- Stock ordering under the direction of the deputy head nurse or head of nursing.
- Cleaning of consult rooms and re-stocking as necessary.
- Undertaking other reasonable duties within the framework of the post to assist team members
**Personal Skills**
Must be a team player with a willingness to develop skills for the needs of the business
Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must be a methodical worker who is used to paying close attention to detail
Must be flexible to work variable hours each week as per advance rota
Previous experience of working in a pharmacy, hospital or doctor's surgery would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
