Ground Worker

Key Responsibilities:
1. Excavation and Ground Preparation: Carry out excavation and ground preparation work to ensure the site is ready for construction and drainage installation.

2. Drainage Installation: Install and maintain various types of drainage systems, including pipes, manholes, and gullies, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.

3. Concreting and Paving: Assist with concreting and paving tasks, including laying foundations, pathways, and surfacing, to support the construction and maintenance of infrastructure.

5. Site Safety and Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring that work is carried out in a safe and compliant manner, and actively promoting a culture of safety on site.

6. Equipment Operation: Operate a range of construction machinery and tools, including excavators and dumpers in a safe and efficient manner.

7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the construction team, including engineers, surveyors, and other tradespeople, to ensure effective project delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience as a Ground worker in the construction or civil engineering industry.
- Knowledge of drainage systems, groundwork, and utilities installation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
- Proficiency in operating construction machinery and tools.
- Strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
