**Assessor for NVQ Level 2 qualifications in Bricklaying**

Construction Helpline have been in the forefront of digitizing construction by offering a range of products and services for workers to take them to the next level. By carving a more dynamic future for the construction sector we seek to drive better outcomes for its people and communities.

Construction Helpline is currently delivering funded training through it’s Government-backed Skills Boot Camps. To date we have provided over 300,000 CSCS cards and 200,000 health and safety courses. With CITB Tests (Health and Safety Environment Course), Construction NVQ Training, CITB CSCS card acquisition being our core products.

**Duties of an assessor**
- Planning and delivering construction training programs
- Conducting learner’s initial assessment and induction Developing assessment plans
- On site assessments and visits
- Assessing and observing learners in the workplace
- Conducting professional discussions with learners
- Examining and creating learners’ portfolio of evidence
- Providing feedback to learners for when standards have been missed
- Signing off of units when assessment objectives have been met
- Attending IQA meetings when required
- Liaising with training staff as appropriate
- Portfolio management such as recording updates to assessment decisions
- Ensuring adequate assessor support is provided to the learners
- Keeping up-to-date CPD

**Skills and Experience required**
- In receipt of assessor/verifier qualifications (or working towards) including:

- A1/A2, V1/V2, D32/33/34
- Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
- Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally-Related Achievement
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
- Have demonstrable occupational competence within bricklaying (trowel occupations)
- Hold industry recognized bricklaying (trowel occupations) qualification
- Being able to communicate well
- The ability to craft accurate reports
- Tact and patience
- Good organisational skills
- The ability to work with learners from varied backgrounds
- Own transport and flexibility to travel

**Software Skills** (preferred but not essential as training will be given)
- Some experience of using online systems
- E-portfolio systems

**Scope of the role**

This role will be on a freelance contract basis. To help you to become successful in this role we offer a collaborative and stimulating team environment with further training. We are offering a competitive rate of £300 per portfolio.
