Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Stores Supervisor to join the team on a full time, permanent basis based at Westertown, Rothienorman.

Main

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure effective daily communication with teams across areas including daily targets and production levels
- Liaise with key Mackie’s personnel regarding ingredient orders, customer orders, suppliers and transport companies
- Coordinate and monitor the receipt, manufacture (moulding), storage and dispatch of goods
- Consistently support Production manufacturing plan with timely delivery of ingredients and packaging
- Efficient use of space and mechanical handling equipment, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
- Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems (SAP)
- Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
- Proactively plan for all future capacity requirements
- Weekly/monthly organisation of staffing rota for Moulding room, Warehouse and Dispatch including holiday cover and other leave
- Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Organise the recruitment and training of staff including induction, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
- Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the teams to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the Stores and health and safety briefs contribute to these
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely
- Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
- Where appropriate, oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems and automated storage and retrieval systems
- Create, maintain and communicate a yard management maintenance and safety system to ensure a safe and tidy workplace
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Structured and organised, excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management, can manage multiple and conflicting demands
- Able to work proactively and on own initiative
- Strong people management skills
- Able to work well as part of the Mackie’s team
- Effective stock management skills through planning and organisation
- Able to process reports and analyse data to drive performance
- Technical and IT skills, in particular database management and spreadsheets
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work on a tactical and strategic level
- Has a flexible approach to work as many warehouses operate shift patterns
- Knowledge and understanding of the legal requirements of operating a warehouse

A valid forklift licence and forklift experience is required as well as good IT skills and experience of integrated operating systems.

Experience of managing a stores team and experience of driving continuous improvement is preferred.

**Salary**: £28,000.00 per year
