**What to expect from the role**
- Gatekeeper for the generation and execution of all store communications including newsletters, updates and launch packs. Working in partnership with the Retail Standards & Operations Manager, accountable for delivering the internal store communications strategy including guardrails to ensure that store communications are clear, impactful, concise, easily digestible and delivered within a specified time frame.
- Manages the Retail Calendar and coordinates Store Manager and Sales Team calls with Sales Director.
- Supports the Retail Standards & Operations Manager to project manage initiatives and implement new systems such as; POS systems, data insights and new reporting processes. Takes ownership with any development roadmaps related to operations in terms of testing, integration and implementation (creating training documents where necessary). Demonstrates a proactive mindset and has the ability to plan projects and ensure their completion within a predetermined time frame.
- Works collaboratively with the Retail Project Specialist to successfully and efficiently manage the implementation of all group and locally defined projects to deadline and budget. Ensures projects are reviewed post rollout and success measures evaluated.
- Works collaboratively with the Omni team to drive and enhance the quality of the omni propositions and service offering, to ensure it remains at a consistent standard as that which is offered across both channels.
- Works collaboratively with the Loss Prevention Specialist to review and maintain owned & operated inventory processes including back office systems to protect stock accuracy.
- Supports the Retail Standards and Operations Manager with customer complaints handling and escalations including resolutions. Accountable for the ongoing support of the customer care function and continuing to own the relationship with the Global team and customer care partner ensuring all customer enquiries are dealt with efficiently and keeping close to any issues flagged and escalating where necessary.
- Supports the Retail Standards and Operations Manager from an operational and consumer standpoint when building out the short, medium and long term business ambitions. Keeping an eye on the competitive landscape to put forward new ideas and best in class enhancements. Striving to continually improve our retail service proposition.
- Builds partnerships with local and global support functions (marketing, merch, HR, Procurement, Global Retail Excellence and Omni etc) and works to mutual understanding of strategic goals. Explores and executes opportunities and innovations to deliver on global and local strategic goals. Is known as a go-to person within the cluster
- Builds and maintains relationships with external suppliers such as; footfall camera installation and maintenance, cash services, consumables providers and other retail analytics platforms.
- Appraises departmental supplier base performance to propose new objectives & strategy. Reviewing existing supplier contracts to drive a cost-focused culture across the department.
- Works across department and business functions on key focuses and shares information to the wider business.
- Ensures information required by key stakeholders is accurate and presented in a timely manner, including a summary, conclusion and recommendation where appropriate.
**KPIs**
- Improvement in engagement results from regular communication surveys and anecdotal feedback from store and field teams
- Improved compliance from stores on deliverables
- Projects delivered on time and to budget
- Tight control over department expenditure
