**Job description**:
***Operations**
- Intelligent Customer for the SWS Operations Contract (SWSOC) ensuring that the activities conducted are SAFE, SECURE and deliver the EFFECT required to sustain Continuous At Sea Deterrent (CASD).
- For programming all Weapon Production and Explosives Handling Jetty (EHJ) operations through the aegis of the Trident Programme Group.
- Assisting in the readiness for a Replacement Warhead.

**Infrastructure**
- Acting as Customer 2 for all Coulport Infrastructure requirements and enabling project delivery whilst maintaining operational capability.

**Nuclear Authorisation**
- As the Duly Authorised Person demonstrating control over an Authorised Site for Nuclear Propulsion/Nuclear Weapon operations and **Authorisation Condition (AC) **Sponsor for AC4, AC5 FAC1, FAC4 in accordance with Defence Nuclear Regulation.

RNAD Coulport is the UK Strategic Weapons Facility headed by Superintendent Armament Depot Coulport (SADC) as the Site Operator and Duly Authorised Person nominated by Naval Base Commander Clyde who is the Authorisee for Nuclear Propulsion and Nuclear Weapon (NW) operations. It is a Department of HM Naval Base Clyde and its primary role is to provide Strategic Weapon System (SWS) support to Continuous at Sea Deterrence (CASD). This will involve acting as the interlocutor with the wider Nuclear Weapon enterprise on all programming isssues and acting as the intelligent customer for all contracted deliverables on site. Another significant aspect of the job is enabling the life extension of the infrastructure as part of the Capital Investment Programme and preparing Coulport to receive the Dreadnought class Ship Submersible Ballistic Nuclear (SSBN) and the Replacement Warhead (RW) System.

Superintendent Royal Naval Armament Depot (RNAD) Coulport is the Site Operator of RNAD Coulport and is responsible to Naval Base Commander Clyde for ensuring the Clyde’s Authorisation Status is preserved whilst any NP, NW or WOME activities are performed within RNAD Coulport. He/She acts as the Functional Director in accordance with the Nuclear Authorisation arrangements and is Output Permissioning Director for Hold Points relating to SWS activities.

SADC is the principle decider for the Contractor delivered Strategic Weapon System (SWS) and Facilities Support activities delivered through the SWS Outsource Contract (SWSOC) and the Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP) respectively. SDAC also receives Engineering Support through the Trident Strategic Weapon Project Team (TSPT) administered In Service Support (ISS) contract which is delivered by Lockheed Martin UK SS. SADC is responsible for working in partnership with the service contractors to deliver safe and secure SWS and WOME support to CASD whilst facilitating the removal of risk and cost to programme delivery.

SADC is the functional point of contact with the main Policy/Tasking Authorities consisting of the Defence Nuclear Organisation (DNO) and the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) for all NW and Missile/SSBN Programme activities respectively. SADC however will operate within the governance of the Clyde Programme Support Office (PSO) when accepting any new tasking on behalf of NBC.
