Chemical Process Operator

Crem Recruitment has been appointed to recruit for a key business within the manufacturing industry to facilitate their busy operation at this important time.
Our client is looking to recruit a Chemical Process Operator to work at their busy factory in Duxford, this shall be on a 12-month fixed term contract basis with the potential to be extended, dependent on their continuing demand.
This is a fantastic opening for a flexible and motivated team member with the opportunity to be trained to use a wide range of processing equipment.
Reporting to the Production Management Team, you will take responsibility for your section to include:
- Raw material batching and pre-production machine setting.
- Operating Processing Machines.
- Working in a safe and efficient manner.
- Clean down at the end of each batch run.
- Report plant maintenance work requirements to minimise downtime and cost.
- Keep workstation clean, tidy and organised in line with the 5S approach.
- Identify areas for improvement and/or cost savings.
Personal Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Chemistry or a technical qualification is advantageous.
- Experience in a manufacturing process environment is essential, with experience in the chemical industry is advantageous.
- FLT Licence or the capacity to learn.
- Computer literate.
- This role is physically demanding requiring a certain amount of manual handling and ability to carry/lift variety of items.
Working Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- 40 hrs per week.
- 6am-2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10- 6am for which you will receive a shift premium.
