Senior Metallurgist

**Key Responsibilities of the Senior Metallurgist will include**:

- Continuous management and improvement of the internal Metallurgy process, encompassing systems, processes, personnel, facilities and equipment, with a view of adhering to specific customer standards & requirements
- Verification of raw material and externally sourced components, including interpretation of material certification
- Conducting a variety of different hardness and tensile tests including Vickers, Rockwell and Brinell
- Develop and monitoring the Heat Treatment function including Furnace Programs and verification of heat treated products (carburising, quenching, tempering, stress relieving)
- Leading, motivating and developing a small number of direct reports including 1 Apprentice & 2 Document Controllers
- Previous experience working in a similar role within Material Testing or Heat Treatment, ideally with an organisation operating in Heavy Engineering, Automotive, Steel Processing, Aerospace or Marine sectors
- A University Degree level within a relevant field (Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar)

**Working hours of the Senior Metallurgist**:

- Monday to Thursday - 9:30AM to 2:15PM
- Friday - 9:30AM to 12PM

**In return, the Senior Metallurgist will receive**:

- Annual Salary: Between £50,000.00 - £55,000.00
