We're passionate about fostering a sense of belonging for all our people through creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive organisation. In this role you'll be right at the centre as a strategic topic expert bringing external insights to shape our regional and global DEI Strategy. Reporting to the Head of People and Organisation, Siemens UK&I you'll be in the lead for bringing this strategy to life through our network of collaborators. Join us acting as our external DEI ambassador in our communities, customers and suppliers.
This role can be based from either our Manchester or Farnborough site, with hybrid working.
**Here's how you'll make an impact....**:
- **Creating and delivering the UK&I DEI strategic priorities**: through our community of DEI sponsors, function expert teams and people and organisation business partners. You'll use data insights to regularly assess and discuss our progress with our senior leadership team.
- **Collaborating with external bodies** to enhance our DEI strategy (e.g. Business in the Community, Change the Race Ratio etc). Representing Siemens on external working groups, bringing insights including recommendations on charters, campaigns and indices.
- **Leading DEI Projects**: scoping, implementing and facilitating the delivery of high impact strategic DEI projects with cross functional teams.
- **Orchestrating our Employee Network** **set-up**: empowering our established Employee Network Leads and Champions, building intersectional working between the groups. Acting as a sounding board and guide, providing them with insights, supporting their growth and skills.
- **Promoting Transparency**: using multiple communications channels internally to build understanding and drive engagement of DEI. With our Global & local DEI, TA & Employer Branding teams, you'll make use of global strategic content and campaigns and contextualise it for our UK&I target markets.
- **Having social impact**: representing Siemens externally as an equal, accessible and inclusive employer of choice within our communities, with our customers and suppliers. Development of our DEI data landscape to meet DEI data requests for bids, UK legal reporting requirements (e.g Gender Pay Gap).
**Your success is grounded in.....**
- Significant experience of crafting and implementing organisation change initiatives with diverse and senior leaders to deliver business impact (within a DEI context would be an advantage).
- Demonstrable experience leading cross-functional projects. Comfortable with ambiguity, attention to detail. Ability to prioritise multiple initiatives in a fast-paced/results focused environment.
- Strong communication skills demonstrated through storytelling, facilitation, presentations and written proposals.
- Proven analytical skills and an ability to translate metrics, research and trends into strategy and aid decision making.
- Ability to develop a perspective and influence a team, without direct authority, on DEI topics as well as manage complex conversations emotionally across groups.
- Thriving on teamwork, capable of collaborating in an eco-system, aligning local, regional and global P&O strategies.
**We've got a lot to offer**:
Protecting the environment, conserving our natural resources, fostering the health and performance of our people as well as safeguarding their working conditions are core to our social and business commitment at Siemens.
Create a better #TomorrowWithUs
