Restful Homes Group - Connaught House Specialist Care Centre is currently on the lookout for Healthcare Assistants at our beautiful home based in Shirley, Solihull.

Our Specialist Care Centre provides 86 spacious bedroom suites providing the highest quality of care to older residents of Shirley, Solihull and the surrounding areas who require Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Specialist Dementia care with associated behaviours that challenge. We also cater for older people with enduring Mental Health needs.

As a Healthcare Assistant you need to be able to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Looking after the physical, emotional, cultural, and social needs of the residents using a person-centred approach. To observe and promote the president’s choice, independence, dignity, and privacy. To create and maintain good professional relationships with residents, relatives, and external professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care and support to residents
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Document and report routine care and any changes in residents condition
- To use moving and handling equipment safely and correctly
- To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with residents

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families
- Compassionate and patient demeanour
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently

**All shifts are**:
**Day Shift: 8am-8pm**

**Night Shift: 8pm-8am**

**Pay rate: £10.42ph**
