At WSE Academy we provide alternative education provision for KS4 learners who through social, emotional or behavioural difficulties are unable to access or are unsuited to mainstream education and are seeking alternative ways to achieve.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced mechanic to join our team as a Mentor. As Mechanics Mentor you’ll provide general assistance and support to the Tutor, delivering various activities within the vocational course. You’ll be working with individual pupils and small groups. As a Mechanic Mentor you will be facilitating workshop delivery, developing learners' practical abilities or working in the classroom supporting learners to complete unit work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate practical delivery in the workshop
- Support the Tutor in managing challenging behaviour and promoting positive behaviour
- Supporting pupils within a mentoring capacity in a classroom and workshop environment
- Support learners to reach their academic potential
- To facilitate inductions for new students and be a point of contact for any concerns

Qualifications:

- Mechanic related qualification
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
