Motorhome Assembler

Abatec are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-known, family run manufacturing business, based in Bedminster. Due to a surge in their workload, they are looking to expand the business and incorporate an additional production line.

This is an exciting time to join an expanding business, though a period of stable growth where they can offer training and career progression. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, ambitious, hands-on people who want to develop their skills and start or further a career in the manufacturing sector within a market leading company. Therefore, previous manufacturing/construction experience would only be desirable not essential, as long as you are comfortable in using basic power tools, such as a hand drill and are willing to learn.

You will be fully inducted into the business and will have extensive training on the assembly and building of the motorhomes, by trained operatives and team leaders, who work directly for the company, ensuring you have the skill set you need to complete the job.

There will be an assessment period after 6 months with the business, if you have shown the right attitude and have learnt the necessary skills in this time frame, they would look to promote you to a Grade 2 Operative, which would also come with a pay rise. There are further promotions available to Grade 3, Grade 4 and Team Leader. Therefore, we are looking for individuals who want to build a career for themself and remain in stable employment with our client, for years to come.

It is worth noting that this position is physically demanding and will include being on your feet for the whole shift, whilst lifting, carrying, bending and assembling, which is why this position would suit hard working individuals, who have previously worked in a factory environment.

Our client requires a Motorhome Assembler with;
- Relevant experience within production, manufacturing, or labouring (desirable but not essential)
- Previous experience of using power tools and/or machinery (desirable but not essential)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well within teams of all sizes
- Good communication skills
