Machine Operative

Based at our site in Liversedge, we are looking to recruit a machine operator to learn the operation of our stick-pack machines, to support our business operations in the manufacturing of essential multivitamin products for health stores and supermarkets across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain machines in a food manufacturing environment.
- To set up and run stick-pack machines and tube filler in accordance with the relevant standard operating procedures.
- Maintain good quality checks on sachets to ensure there are no leaks and sachets are correctly aligned.
- Batch and weight checks.
- Final product measuring, weighing and packing.
- Neat and accurate completion of production paperwork where required.
- Following work orders.
- Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
- Ensure expected output is achieved through optimum machine settings and careful attention to all quality procedures.
- Reporting any defects/improvement areas as necessary.
- Maintaining workstation and area to the required BRC/QA standards.
- Carry out machine cleaning procedures.
- Cleaning down machines and rooms after completion of jobs.
- Ensure all Health & Safety guidelines and quality standards are maintained at all times.
- To follow procedures for the wearing of PPE and handling of any chemicals.

This is not an exhaustive list of tasks and other tasks will be required as part of this role.
- Experience operating machines with food/beverage industry
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene certificate

This will be for our day shift of 40 hours per week between the hours of 08:00-17:00 **Mon-Thurs, **08:00-14:30 **Fri.**
