**Now let us tell you about the role**:
To offer support, guidance and training to all drivers. The role is vital in the reporting, recording and the actioning of route inefficiencies and Health and Safety concerns. To ensure all drivers operate in line with the company Health and Safety and Safety policy.

The company's mission is to be the leading independent provider of commercial waste services in our chosen conurbations. To achieve this by dynamic growth and exceptional customer service. With a workforce who are responsive, customer focused and are Right First Time in their work
- Ensure the safety and welfare of all operatives within your area of responsibility.
- To interpret and enforce as far as is reasonably practicable legislation relating to the road traffic acts.
- Under the auspices of the Service Delivery Manager, enforce standards of discipline and control.
- To ensure the morale of the Driver team is kept positive, and to report any concerns to the Service Delivery Manager.
- Control (optimisation) of overtime, including checking start times and levels of vehicle inactivity.
- Carry out site surveys / Risk Assessments in relation to any accident reports or near misses.
- To ride all routes for a minimum of 1 week a year to ensure standards are maintained.
- To ensure Service Levels are at a premium and resolve any customer complaints.
- Assist drivers in reducing KMs by arranging access times / methods thus removing the requirement to visit the same area on the same day or week twice.
- Taking ownership of improvements and following through until fully resolved.
- To ensure drivers are carrying out their daily vehicle checks.
- Ensure all cabs are kept clean and the vehicles body (ie behind the blade) are kept clean. Repeat offenders to be reported to Service Delivery Manager for further action.
- To cover driver sickness on routes.
- To be available to offer Drivers support each morning with regards to vehicle defects and staffing, and ensure all routes go out.
- To have a good working Knowledge of AMCS / Outlook / CRM systems and be able to assist and support the office staff when required.
- Carry out monthly management checks, by monitoring vehicle cameras and address any concerns.
- Any other reasonable task as may be required from time to time
- Class 2 HGV Licence Essential
- Extensive knowledge of the Waste Industry
- Knowledge of tachograph legislation
