What it's like to work here:The estate at Slindon is approximately 1400 hectares of woodland, mixed farmland and open downland and the Trust also own a large number of houses within the village.

You'll be reporting to the Lead Ranger and working closely with the countryside team to plan and deliver a series of celebration events for 10 year anniversary of the Northwood project which has restored 75 hectares of woodland on intensively farmed arable land.

What you'll be doing:As Visitor Experience Officer, your main focus will be on providing a great service for our visitors. Working with the countryside team, you’ll be creating and planning a series of events and activities that welcome people and inspire them to understand our work on the Slindon Estate. This might include devising and running events and activities, and creating interpretive displays, using social media and exploring other ways of bringing the place, and its stories, to life for everyone who comes here.

You’ll be sharing with others your love for your work and the place itself. You might be encouraging visitors to take a closer look at the habitats that have been created and the wildlife that it supports. You might be supervising and supporting volunteers and taking a role leading others to deliver events and activities that are engaging, informative and fun. You’re likely to be checking standards of presentation, opportunities to improve access or helping to write for our web pages.

- experienced in producing interpretive materials, such as displays and exhibitions, and marketing or promotional materials
