1st Call Plant Ltd is a leading construction self-drive hire company offering a nationwide delivery service. We are seeking a Yard Operative to join our team. The role plays an important part in the maintenance and upkeeping of our workspace. It is the responsibility of the Yard Operative to prepare the equipment to ensure that it is clean and ready for hire by our customers.

**Duties will include**:

- Cleaning and preparing equipment
- Checking and storing off-hired equipment
- Keeping a clean and safe yard, workshop, storage areas and staff areas
- Liaising with the Office Staff to ensure all on-hires are complete
- Ensure all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner

**What we are looking for**:

- Ability to work as a team
- A flexible approach to the work at hand
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail with ability to work on own initiative and to follow instructions
- Organised and excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Willing to improve and learn new skills
- Previous experience preferred but not essential
