Our client, a prestigious Civil Engineering contractor, are looking for a Section Engineer to join their dynamic team based in North Ayrshire. It is an exciting time join as this company as they venture into their new Energy for Waste project.This rolewould ideally suit someone with experience in groundworks, concrete structures, foundations and drainage.

This is a great opportunity to become a part of a dynamic team who have great pride in the company they work for as well as building strong, longstanding relationships with their clients.

This role is suited to an experienced Engineer looking for progression or someone already working at Section Engineer level.

**Some responsibilities of the role include**:

- Carry out design checks, take offs, setting out and quality control throughout the project.
- Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
- Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
- Responsible for writing and reviewing all site paperwork.
- Management site and subcontractors (programme and compliance).
- Management of multiple sites.
- Regular attendance at meetings.

**Background/experience required**:

- Appropriate civil engineering qualification - i.e HND/C or Degree.
- Previous experience working as a standalone site engineer with a civil engineering contractor.
- Previous experience working within the rail sector is desired.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- You should have a valid CSCS, SMSTS and be PTS certified.
- Ability to work within a fast paced, high pressured environment.

Please note, due to project locations and the nature of the role, there will be varying shift patterns therefore you should be flexible and willing to travel throughout Scotland when required.
