**Job summary**:
This is an exciting role that has become available within the Programme Management Office (PMO) of the Trade Negotiations Group (TNG). The role will help support the delivery of critical discussions across various trade negotiations which underpin the UK’s desire to drive investment and build market access with countries across the globe.
The role holder will engage with business areas such as the Departmental Security Unit, the Digital, Data and Technology team and other contracted government bodies when needed.
With the programme grows in depth there will also be an enhanced need to build new relationships with external service providers to help deliver a successful negotiations strategy. As events and logistics administrator, your role will be to support the logistics lead and co-ordinator in the procurement of appropriate venues across London and the rest of the UK.
The post holder would also be expected to work flexibly - with a need to manage changing priorities, depending on demand at the time. This includes providing in-person logístical support for UK-based trade negotiation rounds. The post will also provide an important role in helping support organised and accurate financial records in relation to logístical implementation; this level of organisation extends to other digital projects which the Programme Management Office has a logístical responsibility for.
**Job description**:
The role will have five key responsibilities:
- Providing support to Logistics staff working across trade negotiations. Some early mornings or late evenings may be required to support the successful delivery of live negotiations.
- Ensuring negotiation teams have the established processes, practical support, guidance and governance needed to deliver virtual and face-to-face negotiations. This includes supporting the maintenance of a central Logistics risk register.
- Ensuring that dependencies on other parts of the department, such as the latest security protocols and technology requirements are factored into the delivery of negotiations. This will partly be through acting as a liaison between key stakeholders such as the Departmental Security Unit and negotiation teams.
- Leading on the delivery of digital tools to support the delivery of negotiations, particularly the Free Trade Agreement SharePoint Site.
- Support accurate monitoring and processing of financial records relating to logístical implementation for UK-based trade negotiations.
**Hybrid working**
Please be aware that this role can only be worked from within the UK and not overseas.
Informal hybrid working arrangements will be available as agreed with the vacancy manager and in line with the requirements of the role.
Most DIT employees will be working a hybrid pattern, spending 2-3 days a week (pro rata) in an office, on average. If your office location is London, you will be eligible to receive London weighting.

- Experience of working on the delivery of a project and/or programme
- Solid stakeholder skills, with evidence of building effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with a broad range of audiences.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous contexts, particularly in considering a broad range of views and presenting balanced recommendations
**Desirable Criteria**
- Previous knowledge/experience of Agile project management in the delivery of digital tools.
