**BASIC SALARY**: £80,000 - £90,000

**JOB DESCRIPTION**: General Manager, Operations Director, Plant Manager, Managing Director - Plant Machinery, Construction

As the General Manager, you will be assisting our UK Managing Director in managing our complete UK business. You will be looking to support our facilities and create a safe environment to develop and drive operational excellence whilst ensuring top qualityproducts and services are delivered to customers on schedule, on time and in budget.

Reporting into the UK Managing Director, you will have complete oversight of the UK operations, including sales, H&S, engineering, customer service and HR.

In addition, your key tasks will be to:

- Ensure inclusive / empowering leadership of the company
- Be commercially driven (whilst staying within the business values), and tasked with operating at optimum employee levels, costs, and productivity objectives
- Work closely with the MD to develop and implement long and short-term strategic objectives
- Champion the company's culture, safety, sustainability, and employee engagement programs
- Drive major projects as part of the UK Leadership team

- Worked across engineering environments and are technically competent
- A track record of building successful teams with the ability to motivate and lead employees, holding them accountable
- Broad experience as a General Manager with visionary leadership skills
- A relevant technical qualification (HNC / Degree / MBA) and / or Lean Six Sigma etc.
