**Bar Back**:
**Role Overview**:
As a Bar back in our busy bar, you play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our establishment. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that used glassware is promptly collected, cleaned, and restocked, allowing the bartending, and serving staff to focus on providing exceptional service to our guests.

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Glassware Collection**:Circulate throughout the bar area to collect empty glasses, cups, and other used glassware from tables, counters, and designated collection points. Monitor the area continuously to maintain a tidy and organized environment.

**2. Bussing Tables**:Clear and reset tables as soon as guests finish their drinks, removing empty glasses, plates, and other debris. Work quickly and efficiently to minimize wait times and ensure that tables are ready for new guests.

**3. Transportation and Sorting**:Transport collected glassware to the designated dishwashing area using appropriate containers or trays. Separate different types of glassware to facilitate efficient cleaning and drying processes.

**4. Dishwashing Assistance**:Assist the dishwashing staff by loading and unloading glassware from dish racks, trays, or conveyor belts. Follow established procedures for sorting, washing, rinsing, and drying glassware to maintain hygiene and sanitation standards.

**5. Cleaning and Maintenance**:Wipe down and sanitize glassware as needed to remove any residual liquids, stains, or Odors. Inspect glassware for cracks, chips, or other damage, and remove any items that are unfit for use. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.

**6. Restocking Supplies**:Monitor the inventory of clean glassware and replenish supplies as needed to ensure that bartenders and servers have a sufficient supply on hand during busy periods. Keep storage areas organized and free of clutter.

**7. Team Collaboration**:Work closely with bartenders, servers, and other staff members to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow. Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks, prioritize needs, and address any issues or concerns that arise during your shift.

**8. Customer Interaction**: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, responding to requests for assistance and providing assistance as needed. Be attentive to guest needs and offer assistance with seating, directions, or other inquiries.

**9. Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and safe handling of glassware. Report any safety hazards or incidents to management immediately.

**10. Cleanliness Standards**:Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all areas of the bar, including the glassware storage area, dishwashing station, and surrounding areas. Regularly clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and utensils to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a hygienic environment for staff and guests.

As a Bar Back, your diligence, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential in contributing to the overall success and reputation of our bar. Your role directly impacts the guest experience by ensuring that every drink is served in clean and well-maintained glassware, enhancing satisfaction and loyalty among our patrons.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract
