Grafton Recruitment are actively recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join a leading luxury British brand, which are expanding due to considerable growth.
Our client is a multinational company with its own boutiques and wholesale network around the world, as well as its own manufacturing facility in the United Kingdom.
**THE ROLE**:
**As an Assembly Technician, you will have the following responsibilities**:
- Assembles complete watches from kits/components, complete assembly.
- Partially assembles watches from kits/components, team assembly workstation operation.
- Tests products in accordance with the client and international guidelines for timing and water resistance.
- Participates in Stock takes for components, consumables and tools when required.
- Provides basic Quality control for components or products as and when required.
- Provides basic polishing-refurbishing of components when required.
- Uses IT workstations to enter data when required for status and tracking of flow products and components.
**Guarantees repair**:
- Assists superior in his technical linked tasks, including quality feedback;
- Follows the client's technical guidelines; and uses the most effective and efficient methods to reduce the time spent on each assembly.
- Discusses any trouble-related jobs or problems related to work load or environment with superior and provides feedback, if any, to achieve productivity level.
- Coaches colleagues and shares knowledge with other technicians to improve team productivity and efficiency - best working conditions
- Ensures the overall quality of their environment by maintaining cleanliness on his/her bench and in team locations under his/her joint responsibility.
**Technical**:
- Works in a safe and proper manner, and is well versed in EHS-related tasks and procedures.
- Has a good understanding of the equipment and tools in his/her environment, as well as their safe operation; and
- Ensures the quality of the tools and equipment assigned to him/her.
- Maintains them in good working order and condition, and conducts an annual tool stock take. When a replacement is needed, he or she informs his or her superior.
- Keeps all equipment and tools in good working order, including sharpening, washing, sterilising, and cleaning.
- Attends technical training to broaden scope, update best practises, and keep up with technological evolution and best working practises.

**The ideal Assembly Technician**:
- Willingness to adapt to new challenges in a proactive and positive manner.
- Capable of accurately and consistently repeating repetitive tasks
- Dexterity, practicality, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional organisational skills.
- Inquisitive about how things work, with previous experience dismantling and rebuilding mechanical devices.
- Capable of communicating effectively in both oral and written English.
- A hardworking and dependable attitude, as well as the ability to work autonomously but collaboratively
- Capable of working on one's own initiative and under pressure. Self-motivated, holds high standards, and prioritises constantly.
- Willing to adapt and take on new challenges, as well as a strong desire to constantly improve
