This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a very successful metal stockholder, based in Halesowen. A permanent position is expected upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship.

Aalco Birmingham have gone from strength to strength in recent years, driven by our talented, ambitious and dedicated team.

The role will be focused around developing a career within a warehouse environment, including fork-lift truck operation. Full training and support is provided.

Our discretionary profit share scheme puts no limits on what you can earn. It is driven by the success of the business and your own performance throughout the year.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Ensure all picking notes are picked, quality checked, invoiced and packaged correctly and on time.
- Develop product knowledge to be able to distinguish between the different types of material.
- Invoice, enter locations and check batch information on company’s computer system.
- Offload, quality check and sort received stock.
- Identify and locate material into racks, ensuring it is stored correctly and safely.
- Always ensure PPE is worn appropriately.
- Liaise with the Operations Team to ensure physical stock, locations, etc., tie up exactly with computer stock records.
- Take part in periodic stock checks.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed, communicating any observed unsafe acts or conditions, such as damage to stock, racking or machinery.
- Take pride in all aspects of your work.
- React quickly to changing priorities and respond positively to change.
- Work with all departments to meet customer requirements and improve our service.
- Continually develop your personal skills and knowledge.
- Positively participate in appraisal meetings.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: £13,000.00 per year
