EHS Manager - Single Site - Leading Manufacturer - Greater Manchester
I am extremely excited to be working with a key client based in Greater Manchester who are looking for an EHS Lead to join the business. With an impressive history spanning many years, my client is a market leader in their field and count some of the biggestnames in the industry as their customers and have locations globally.
Reporting in to the Regional EHS Manager, you will be responsible for managing everything EHS related for a large, single site. You will work collaboratively with the wider EHS team and Senior Management to ensure that best practices are adhered to and thatcontinuous improvement is being driven consistently. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementation of continuous improvements across EHS metrics
- Provide advice and guidance to leadership team, senior managers, supervisors and all other employees
- Drive and display an excellent behavioural safety culture at all times
- Conduct training courses where relevant
- Manage accidents and incidents and analyse trends against performance
- Implement corrective actions where relevant
- Maintain excellent EHS knowledge and liaise with external regulatory bodies including HSE
This is a hands on role and the expectation is that you are visible on site, developing and coaching employees whilst driving a positive EHS culture across the business.
To be considered for this role you must have experience in a similar lead position within manufacturing, ideally FMCG, along with excellent knowledge of UK Legislation and the desire to learn US Legislation. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communicationstyles and be able to proactively identify risks and implement appropriate countermeasures.
