**_About the Linux Systems Engineering Team Lead (IOT) Team_**

The Systems team is small and growing, although this role manages various people and projects across the business. There is a much wider scope than just "staying in one's lane". The people you will manage will be involved in Linux Engineering, Operations,Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering and Field/Service Delivery to clients. The Linux Systems Engineering Team Lead will also move into what the company are calling a Centre of Excellence, which includes people like the Head of Engineering, the CTO andthe CEO within it. This role is super broad, very influential and will give you a lot of scope to grow your skillset.

**The Actual Linux Systems Engineering Team Lead role**:
As the Linux Systems Team Lead you will be responsible for other Systems Engineers in a technical and line management aspect and then report to the Head of Engineering. The goal is to take current processes and systems to the next level and be a key playerin the global expansion and new markets, taking ownership of the entire Linux Infrastructure. This role is a nice mix of hands-on work and management but includes lots of variation.

**The Technology you get to play with and the Processes you will work with**:

- GNU/Linux
- Configuration tooling, such as Ansible/Puppet.
- TCP/IP, the Internet Protocols
- Docker and similar
- Git or similar
- Automation
- Experience in VoIP
- Node.JS ideally, but happy to consider JavaScript in general
