**Barkada Filipino Kitchen** is looking for **Barista with Cashier and Kitchen Helper Responsibilities** to join our team We are a growing, well-liked brand located in beautiful Broadstairs. We are looking for full-time and part-time Barista with Cashier and Kitchen Helper Responsibilities to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and to provide cashier and kitchen help services.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Barista Duties**:

- Prepare a variety of high-quality coffee and specialty beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Ensure consistency in beverage presentation, taste, and temperature.
- Keep the coffee bar area clean, organised, and well-stocked with necessary ingredients.
- Provide friendly and prompt customer service, addressing any questions or concerns.

**2. Cashier Responsibilities**:

- Operate the Square terminal accurately, processing transactions efficiently while handling cash and digital payments.
- Greet customers with a warm demeanour, take orders, and provide detailed information about menu items.
- Maintain a clean and organised cashier station, including proper arrangement of promotional materials.
- Issue receipts, handle returns, and resolve any billing discrepancies.

**3. Kitchen Helper Tasks**:

- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, assembling rice bowls, and other tasks as needed.
- Help to ensure the kitchen is kept clean and always sanitised, adhering to hygiene and safety guidelines.
- Support in receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory items to maintain freshness.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth flow of orders and minimise wait times.

**4. Customer Engagement**:

- Engage customers in a friendly and approachable manner, addressing their inquiries and making personalised recommendations.
- Uphold a positive and welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and customer loyalty.

**5. Team Collaboration**:

- Communicate effectively with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery.
- Assist in training new team members on barista, cashier, and kitchen tasks as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a barista of one year minimum. Experience within a small kitchen is preferred but not required. Knowledge of Square POS is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and menu items.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
