Leven packaging plant opened in 1973 and is a highly efficient and flexible packaging operation, which can respond quickly to changing demands and opportunities.

Leven packages over 38 million cases of spirits per year), and employs a workforce of around 1,100 people, including around 800 Diageo staff, plus contractors working full time on site, with an additional 100 temporary staff at peak times.

Leven exports to: Western Europe, North America, Russia & Eastern Europe, Global Travel & Middle East, North Asia, South East Asia, PUB (Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil), Australasia and West LAC (Latin Caribbean).

About the role

As a Site Assurance Officer within our hardworking team at Leven you’ll play a pivotal role in the effective management and protection of all company assets across the Leven site operation, thus preventing any unauthorized access to site and to prevent acts of theft, arson, vandalism and product contamination.

You will provide essential assurances to the business through audit. Responsible for carrying out regular quality assurance of H&S, Risk, Security, Quality, Environmental and stock accountability procedures

**Responsibilities**:
- Work with Risk Manager to achieve breakthroughs set by departmental strategy- Maintain security standards through the implementation of departmental operating procedures and work instructions.- Ensuring site security by conducting random searches, scheduled patrols and act as a superuser on CCTV and CCure access control systems.- Responsible for roll call during fire activations including alarm tests and site evacuation.- Responsible for the training and supervision of Security Officers and will coordinate first aid as the need arises.- Contractor induction and access management.-
- Responsible for supervising Health & Safety and Security arrangements during foot patrols and undertake building inspections outside normal working hours (to check for leaks and security breaches and ensure Health & Safety compliance).- Key management for the full site- Through auditing of internal processes to ensure effective and management of all outstanding actions to ensure preventative / corrective measures implemented.- Attend first aid calls where required- Drive improvement across site and within own department- Accurate recording of incidents/findings

About you

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role or identified transferrable skills

Understanding of the processes of securing premises / auditing / access control

Understanding of relevant UK Health, Safety, Environmental, HMRC and Food safety legislation

Competent computing skills

Excellent communication and influencing skills

A full UK drivers licence is required
