- D/23/233378**An exciting opportunity within our Property Services Team for a Part Time or Full Time Surveyor.**:
The Council is always looking to make the most of its resources. Providing quality facilities and accommodation helps the Council deliver quality services to the community. Maximising the income from our large commercial and investment portfolio, helps provide the revenue we need to support Bracknell Forest residents. The Property Services Team continues to support the Council in building on the success of the regeneration of the town centre and the opening of The Lexicon.

**What it’s like working in our team**:
The property services team provides a full professional estate management service. The position of Valuer is within Estates and Valuation, which is an experienced team of 6 dealing with acquisitions and disposals; valuations; strategic property advice; estate management and managing a substantial investment/commercial portfolio of over 200 retail/business units and an income of circa £10 million. The team all work flexibly at home, on site and in the office, but work very closely together with shared objectives.

**You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training**:

- Commercial property management including new lettings; rent reviews; marketing; lease renewals; assignments; debt management; service charge management; repairs and dilapidations etc.
- Management of flats over shops and service charges.
- Asset valuations, insurance valuations, valuations for compulsory purchase and planning compensation
- Negotiation of terms for easements, wayleaves, licences etc., in respect of Council land.
- Instructing and supervising the Council’s valuation consultants.
