The role of apprentice is to continuously develop their skills and knowledge as they progress through the degree programme, in order to provide effective Physiotherapy assessment and intervention, so that on completion of the programme they can manage and be responsible for a clinical caseload with supervision from a qualified Physiotherapist.

The apprentice will assess needs, agree goals, implement intervention plans and evaluate progress in partnership with the individual and their relevant family members/support network and maintain clinical records.

The post holder will be a trainee in Physiotherapy and will complete a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy as a Level 6 apprentice. This will encompass teaching from the University, workplace learning and full time clinical placements over a four-year period.

To successfully complete the Physiotherapy Apprenticeship incorporating BSc (Hons) and End Point Assessment by:

- Attending University and Clinical Placements as set out in the degree programme
- To complete and pass academic modules and clinical placements to the required standard in order to progress through the course programme
- To ensure timely achievement in accordance with the academic programme requirements
- To complete and pass the End Point Assessment.

In the workplace, participate in the required duties under appropriate supervision, thereby developing the required skills and ability to meet the requirements to become a Physiotherapist whilst progressing through the degree programme
