Consultant Obstetrician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a consultant post in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant would be the lead for labour ward and have the opportunity to develop a job plan tailored to their obstetric interests including high risk pregnancy and antenatal care, maternal medicine (including maternal diabetes antenatal care) and obstetric simulation, emergency training and fetal monitoring training. We would be very keen for the right applicant to develop a fetal medicine scan list within our antenatal service. The job will include on-call consultant cover during the day and this will include labour ward and obstetric day unit cover.

For the right applicant we would be willing to make this post a purely obstetric job with on call gynaecology cover from colleagues within the department. If the applicant wanted to maintain gynaecology skills then there would be gynaecology clinic and theatre activity in the job plan.
