**Digital Marketing Assistant**
**Location**: Clacton Pier, 1 North Sea, Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, CO15 1QX.
**Hours**: Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some weekends and evenings as required
**Salary**: £22,000-£25,000 dependant on experience

As part of our growing marketing team, the Digital Marketing Assistant will take overall responsibility for Clacton Pier’s digital presence, working to grow reach and engagement across all channels. Working closely with the marketing team, they will develop and implement a marketing strategy to help maximise the presence of Clacton Pier online among prospective customers.

A key part of this role centres around social media, taking charge of the pier’s growing social media channels. The Digital Marketing Assistant will be an expert in all things social media with an up-to-date knowledge on all major platforms and a passion for creating innovative and engaging content. They will be a self-starter who’s not afraid to dream up big ideas and see them through to completion, making sure the pier’s aim of providing memorable days out is always central to what we do.

As a 52 week a year attraction, there are a host of exciting special events and offerings in the calendar. Working with the wider marketing team, they will collaborate to promote campaigns, events and new attractions ensuring digital marketing channels are utilised to maximise the exposure of the exciting developments.

Keeping up to date with everything happening and working closely with key operational teams, they will be instrumental in making sure the website and other digital information is always accurate and correct. They will be a team player that’s not afraid to get stuck in with all the exciting activity happening at the pier.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Managing all Clacton Pier social media channels, devising a social media strategy and producing compelling and engaging content
- Working with operational teams to ensure website and digital information is kept relevant and up to date
- Promoting special offers, new attractions and events through a variety of channels
- Implementing digital marketing campaigns to increase footfall and sales
- Working with affiliates and influencers to form strong relationships and aid growth
- Overseeing the Clacton Pier brand and digital identity
- Supporting with basic IT troubleshooting and diagnostics across the site
- Supporting with other marketing and events-based activity when required

**About You**
- Strong background in Digital Marketing with the ability to devise and implement strategy across all key digital marketing channels
- A creative and motivated individual who is continually thinking of new innovative ways to engage with their audience
- Excellent attention to detail with good written English & copywriting skills
- An outstanding knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok and an understanding of producing compelling and engaging content
- Knowledge of key social media management platforms
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Basic photography and videography skills
- Experience managing website content with a working knowledge of Google Analytics and how to track and evaluate the success of campaigns
- Competency with Adobe Suite advantageous but not essential (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
