We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and inspirational leader to work within our Step 3 Leadership Team at various locations in Norfolk and Waveney.

This position provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician with a strong background in mental health and a good understanding of the challenges of working as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Counsellor,Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, or Mental Health Practitioner.

You will be responsible for the day to day operational leadership of a team of clinicians, including line management, project work, and service development.

You would ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, and motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.

As a service, we offer a range of psychological, employment and social interventions across Norfolk & Waveney.

The Wellbeing Team Leader role is responsible for the operational management of a range of aspects of service delivery within the team and for managerial supervision of professional staff.

To ensure a responsive, high quality IAPT service is provided to clients, their families and carers within the clinical environment. Maintain compliance with key performance indicators.

They will allocate work to relevant services and monitor the team’s contribution to the overall objectives of the Trust.

The Wellbeing Team Leader will provide professional governance and leadership within their area. They will deputise for the Deputy Service Manager as required. They may hold a client caseload.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Management

To contribute to the smooth running of the service by ensuring timely access to assessment, intervention or onward referral (if required).

To provide management supervision to team members and ensure all staff have access to management and clinical supervision.

The Wellbeing Team Leader role is responsible for the operational management of a range of aspects of service delivery within the team.

Responsible for the line management of identified staff within the team to include CPD, performance management, staff appraisals and relevant HR issues.

To ensure annual leave, sickness absence and other staffing issues are addressed in order to maintain service delivery.

Responsible for the proactive recruitment of new staff and maintaining delegated staff wellbeing/retention.

Responsible for the effective use of the delegated aspects of the team budget.

To lead the development of effective mental health care pathways within the team.

Lead/support service evaluation and audit systems.

Responsible for the review/development of service wide policies and protocols.

Support the establishment of partnerships and networks with key stakeholders.

Deputise for the Deputy Service Manager as required.

To lead and contribute to team meetings and ensure a healthy workplace and team morale is maintained.

To lead on specific areas of service improvement and development as agreed.

To ensure that all staff within the service maintain appropriate knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and procedures in relation to Mental Health, Primary and Secondary Care Services.

Clinical

Will be accountable for own professional actions.

To work with clinical supervision as agreed and when appropriate.

Effective personal planning and organisation of daily work load.

Flexible working and manage own working time effectively and accordingly to service demands.

Practice autonomously in making clinical judgements, identifying alternative courses of action, managing and providing a high quality of care.

Maintain respectful, effective professional interpersonal relationships with others.

To attend all mandatory training as required by the Trust and to undertake further training and updating as required to carry out the role.
