Quantitative Sports Researcher

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Data mining and modelling
- Quantitative data analysis for sporting events (Football, Basketball) and betting markets
- Analyse and prepare data and assist with data quality to use in models
- Data integration and preparation of management ready reports
- Working closely with odds compilers/traders to perfect modelling to increase efficiency

**Skills you will need**:

- Data mining and modelling experience
- Strong interest in sports and/or betting data analysis
- Quantitative and analytical skills
- Communication skills and the ability to work in a team as well as individually
- Flexibility in working hours due to different sporting events
- Ability to deal with and account for uncertainty, with the flexibility to learn by iteration
- Ability to make well informed decisions based on data and to prioritise priorities effectively

**It would be an advantage if you also have**:

- Understanding of software design patterns
- Previous experience in sports data analysis
- Exceptional knowledge of sporting events (Football, Basketball)
