Reporting Accountant

Our client, a leading energy specialist are looking to appoint a qualified Reporting Accountant on a temporary basis with the potential go permanent. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a multi site operation.
40,000-45,000
Newcastle city centre
Immediate start with possible perm opportunity
Role Specific Accountability;
- External reporting
- Manage the monthly financial close process
- Analysis and modelling
- Statutory Accounts preparation
" Ownership of accounting policies and procedures
- Detailed internal balance sheet and cashflow reporting including adhoc detailed reports
- Lead monthly results meetings to ensure that Finance understand the key drivers.
- Identifying gaps in understanding of UK reporting requirements within the Financial Reporting Team and recommend action to reduce these gaps.
The Person;
- Fully qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Ability to document and produce commentary to enable a wider understanding of key financial movements.
- High level of technical knowledge in relation to accounting and regulatory changes.
