Poultry Stockperson/ Farm Worker

**Responsibilities**:
This role involves supporting the Farm Manager and our farm workers with the day to day duties of an modern broiler farm(s) and biomass fuel enterprise.
- Working in poultry houses - Handling birds, ventilation, feed and water management
- Ensure the highest level of bird welfare and biosecurity is maintained in accordance with legislative and assurance scheme standards
- General farm duties and site maintenance
- Accurately complete relevant records
- Vaccinations administration
- Alarm/ holiday cover
- Telehandler and tractor operation
- Maintain safe work practices of all personnel and contractors on site
- Adhere to farm health and safety rules for a safe working environment

**Skills**:
Good organisation, communication and time management. High levels of attention to detail with a proactive mind set. An interest in livestock/ farming or a desire to pursue a career in agriculture. Be flexible and proficient in understanding instructions. The aptitude to gain new knowledge and skills. Able and willing to work as a team and alone.

Farm, poultry or tractor experience would be preferred, but not essential as all training can be provided.

**Desirable**:
Poultry Passport & NVQ Poultry Production

Telehandler and/ or Tractor License

Please note that this job may require working in outdoor environments with exposure to various weather conditions.

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£29,000.00 per month
