Stewart Plant Sales are looking for a Trainee Sales Representative to join our growing team in Glasgow. If you are interested in construction plant machinery and are looking to develop your sales career within an established company, this could be the role for you.

**Who are we?**

The Scot JCB Group is made up of Scot JCB, Scot Agri, SPS and SIA.

With over 50 years’ experience, Stewart Plant Sales sells a wide range of plant equipment including crushers, site dumpers, air compressors, compaction equipment, pumps and abrasive cutting equipment from manufacturers including Tesab, Lippmann, JCB, Atlas Copco, Clipper, Stihl, and Tsurumi Pump.

**This role involves**:

- Learning all aspects of the sales department processes
- Learning how to valuate part exchanges
- Liaising with the marketing team to promote machine sales
- Liaising with the parts and service departments regarding machines ready to be delivered
- Organising machinery transport moves
- Moving and handling machines in the yard
- Carrying out used machine reports
- Invoicing new and used machinery
- Ordering machines from JCB and non-JCB suppliers
- Updating JCB and non-JCB suppliers’ online systems
- Using our system to log machine movements internally and externally
- Supporting the wider sales team with admin
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers
- Relevant experience within the construction industry, car industry or similar
- Experience within a sales environment, or an interest in learning about sales
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work well in a busy team
- The ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
- A good understanding of the importance of excellent customer service
- Attention to detail
- The ability to work on own initiative
- Flexible, positive, and outgoing approach to work
