Plant Factory Manager

Our client is looking for a Plant Manager to oversee their well-established high-volume production facility based in Newquay. With over 100 years of experience, our client leads the way in Manufacturing and Engineering expertise, with a focus on an inclusive,progressive, and friendly workplace culture.

**Salary**: circa. £70,000 per annum

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday

Be responsible for the daily and strategic management and coordination of all plant operations, including production, engineering, logistics and quality control.
Provide leadership to the facility, ensuring efficient communication between all departments and the head-office in Manchester.
Oversee all aspects of people management including culture, talent planning, staffing and scheduling, training, and ensuring compliance with all H&S policies, procedures and legislation.
Be responsible for environmental and waste control
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, commercial teams and external customers and suppliers.
Spearhead continuous improvement plans, implement change management initiatives and align the business to the company strategy.
At this time, we are only progressing applicants who are educated to degree level in Chemistry, or have comparable worked experience in an applied Chemical industry background.
Previous experience in a similar role leading a large team.
FMCG Experience essential
Experience overseeing Engineering, Production and Logistics functions
A history of product development
Strong people management and customer focus skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
Change management experience with tangible experience in overcoming challenges
Education to degree level or higher
