**The Opportunity**: The Future Combat Air System (FCAS) is one of the largest, most exciting and ambitious programmes within Defence - to craft and deliver a Future Combat Air Programme for the RAF in record time.

The key cornerstone of FCAS is the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), which sees the UK working with our international partners Italy and Japan, to deliver a future combat air platform. FCAS and GCAP presents a unique opportunity to influence the designof the system to consider the integration and employment of effects rather than just integrate effectors to an existing platform.

The FCAS portfolio consists of various different projects and contracts looking at different areas within Combat Air. MBDA UK is involved in a number of these projects including the TEMPEST project, where some novel technologies are being explored, the mainUK FCAS Acquisition Programme, as well as GCAP.

**Your role**: You will be representing MBDA's product positioning and development logic into the overall engineering development logic (Integration Master Schedule or IMS) and point of contact into the enterprise systems engineering integration team (SEIT).

Leading the FCAS Engineering team in the North West FCAS hub where you'll be instrumental in crafting an appropriately equipped FCAS office environment at our MBDA Bolton site.

As a representative for the FCAS Senior Engineering team in enterprise engagements, building and maintaining Industry and MoD engineering partner relationships will be key. Focussing on MBDA and Partner sites in the North West. As a key member of the teamyour consistent and positive engagements at Enterprise events will ensure MBDA's products and services are represented in the evolving FCAS Core Platform and System of Systems concepts.

Along with the above you'll be able to rationalise and prioritise FCAS requirements. Manage them with relevant partners to maximise programme performance and Customer satisfaction, whilst also having the ability to question and challenge in the Enterpriseorganisation with diplomacy.

**What we're looking for from you**:

- Strong systems engineering abilities with experience of delivering sophisticated engineering programmes.
- Experience in managing large (£Ms), complex systems comprising both hardware and significant software content.
- Experience of managed sophisticated integration programmes with multiple parties including substantial involvement of partner companies and supply chain partners.
- A personable, influential communicator with a track record of building relationships across a variety of teams and partners, both internal and external and ideally internationally.
- Proven skills in communications and influencing across a complex map of partners
- A good understanding of the challenges working with international partners
- Resilience to progress in an uncertain environment with pragmatism and passion
- Proven track record of working collaboratively with partner companies in demanding programme environment.
- DV clearance desirable but not crucial. Willingness to be DV cleared is critical
- Willing to undertake very regular UK travel and occasional International travel
