**Your responsibilities**

We are currently looking for a Plate Saw Operator for our client As a Plate Saw Operator, you will be cutting a range of products for various customers working from design drawing and adhering to tight tolerances. Full training will be given.

Our Preston site specialises in Aerospace specific products and CNC machining, having the most impressive warehouse of all our sites. As an aerospace site, all the products need to be accurate and traceable back to the company to ensure safety and accountability, so your organisational and attention to detail skills are imperative. There are lots of different areas in the warehouse for you to grow into and learn about, all with brand new resources such as machines and fork lifts. The canteen has just had a £30k refurb too

Your main duties will include:

- Operating the Plate Saw to a high quality and safe standard
- Ensuring warehouse traceability
- Working from drawings you will be required to accurately set various machines and produce parts to order
- Use forklifts to gather material for the jobs and record all information on job sheets

**Your profile**

Essential experience, skills and knowledge:

- machine operating knowledge
- Able to read drawings and record accurate details
- Flexibility to help with other tasks
- Good Attendance
- Strong communication and time management skills

Desirable experience, skills and knowledge:

- Training can be provided for the right applicant
- Forklift trained
- £24,018 per annum including shift allowance
- Monday - Friday alternating weekly shifts of 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm
- This is a 12 week temp to perm contract.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £24,018.00 per year
