Why join us
Joining our Property Team at Sainsbury's means being part of a top FTSE 100 Retailer with a vast portfolio of trading and non-trading property assets. As a Location Planner, you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference by taking ownership of forecasts, analysing data, and driving improvements in location planning methodology. Your analytical skills will be key as you produce accurate forecasts, provide recommendations for store size and offer, update competitor pipeline data, and measure competitor impacts. Collaborating with key stakeholders, you will offer your locational expertise and build strong relationships with the wider Property teams, contributing to Post Investment Reviews and undertaking ad hoc analysis to drive continuous improvement. A core knowledge of GIS is desirable for the role, and your ability to communicate and present analysis in a concise manner will be valued. Overall, your dedication to customer needs, analytical prowess, and ability to challenge and develop existing methodologies will greatly contribute to the success of our property team.

As a Location Planner for Sainsbury's Property division, you are a highly analytical professional with a keen eye for detail and a strong focus on delivering strategic insights. With your excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesise and analyse diverse data sets, you play a crucial role in forecasting new store opportunities, evaluating competitor impacts, and providing recommendations for store size and offerings. You possess core knowledge of GIS functionality and systems capabilities, allowing you to effectively support the maintenance of network plans and make data-driven recommendations for location planning. Your ability to integrate quantitative and qualitative information, challenge existing methodologies, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams make you a valuable asset in driving improvements in location planning methodology and delivering the right investments for the business.
