**Post: Early Years Practitioner**

As an Early Years Modern Apprentice within Fly High you will work as part of a team to plan, support and develop the development and care of young children 6 weeks to 5 years.

Job Description General features of the remit
- Assist with planning, developing and extending learning for all children
- Assist with organising and lead small group and individual activities
- With support, learn the skills to be the key person for a group of children
- Follow nursery guidelines and procedures, Health and Safety and Child Protection according to guidelines from The Care Inspectorate, Education Scotland and Local Authority
- Participate in the setup and clearing of the indoor and outdoor play areas ensuring all equipment is hygienic and well maintained
- Attend to tasks for all aspects of children’s care and wellbeing, including assisting with toileting and changing and administering first aid
- Fostering and maintaining good relations with children, colleagues and parents
- Engage in Staff Review and CPD
- Participate in nursery staff meetings
- Ensure the positive management of children’s behaviour at all times
- Undertaking any other duties as the Nursery Manager may determine.

**Qualifications**

Working towards SVQ Social Services (Children and Young people) SCQF Level 7

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £6.40 per hour
