Health Care Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide essential support to patients and healthcare professionals in a variety of healthcare settings. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, monitoring patient well-being, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
**Duties**:
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Help patients with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper lifting techniques
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients who require assistance
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities
**Experience**:
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Empathy and compassion towards patients with diverse medical conditions
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules

**Salary**: From £12.73 per hour
