Duties include:
Stock control
Food preparation
Cooking traditional hearty meals
Keeping a clean and tidy workspace
Preparing special diets, soft food, diabetic meals etc.

Mealtimes are the most important part of the day for many of our residents, therefore some interaction is necessary with our elderly residents to ensure they are happy with their food and provide alternatives where necessary. We have a lovely group of residents, some of whom have dementia therefore a calm and patient manner would be necessary for this type of work.

Previous experience in a care home is preferred but not necessary as long as you have the ability to cook meals from scratch.

Shift pattern is 8am - 5pm, 2 or 3 days per week to be discussed.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 18-27 per week

**Salary**: £10.90 per hour
