**Description**

You will be part of CDDO and the Data Strategy and Standards (DS&S) Directorate at an exciting time as we build a new data governance and policy function and establish a Data Architecture Design Authority to sit alongside the established Data Standards Authority.

Our team has some big ambitions. We want to improve services for end users and improve how new policies are developed through the effective use and reuse of data. A key part of that will be to establish data governance that is appropriate for system-wide and cross-government adoption, underpinned by agreed principles, policies and standards. We need great people to make that happen.

As Data Quality Advisor, you’ll work with the Head of team and wider DS&S in support of data governance, leadership and capability, across government. You will specifically progress work to support delivery on the commitment to resolve high priority data quality issues across government, through:

- Supporting work to develop a package of guidance and training materials to enable the adoption of data quality action plans across government,
- Leading work with pilot departments to test the data quality guidance and training materials, as it develops, to ensure it is fit for purpose.
- Leading engagement with Data Quality Subject Matter Experts across government
- Ensure learnings from feedback are incorporated in a timely way, resulting in a robust package of implementable materials.
- You will be expected to work flexibly and collaboratively on a range of projects where your expertise and skills are needed and will support a culture of agile working across your team.

Skills/Experience Required
- Policy and engagement experience, working in a complex government or corporate environment.
- Familiarity with data quality management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders from within CDDO and across both the public and the private sectors.
- An understanding of delivering public services.
- Able to deliver at pace and work in a complex environment.
