**Health Care Assistant**

Our friendly and supportive practice are looking to recruit a proactive HCA who is enthusiastic about delivering a high standard quality of patient care.

We are looking for an experienced HCA. Applications from HCAs with less experience, who are interested in developing career in Primary Care, are welcomed too.

Our team consists of three General Practitioner Partners, four Salaried General Practitioner, two Practice Nurses, one HCA and excellent administrative staff.

The Practice is long established and we strive to provide quality family medicine.

The fantastic walled town of Conwy is a great setting and the ideal spot for mountain and coastal adventure.

The successful applicant will have a good understanding of health services, together with a drive for improving lives and improving healthcare.

**Main duties of the job**

Main clinical responsibilities include:

- Phlebotomy
- Long term conditions reviews and assessments
- Injections (including B12)
- Staples/stitches removal, dress changing
- Adult Seasonal Immunisation
- Health Checks
- ECGs
- Lifestyle advice
- Urine testing

Other tasks will include:

- Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms
- Ordering of stock and maintaining stock levels in treatment and consulting rooms
- Participation in administrative systems in the Practice
- At all times there will a need to maintain accurate records
- Maintain equipment and accurately record fridge temperatures
- Attend and participate in any Practice Meetings when required

**Welsh is desirable for this post.**

**Salary will depend on experience.**

The vacancy part time; 20 hours per week.

NHS Pension scheme and MPS subscription paid.

**Informal Visits are welcome.**
