**Who are we looking for?**

We're looking for a talented Head of Food to join our passionate team at N family and lead our food service operations to new heights. If you're ready to make a difference and inspire big dreams through exceptional food experiences, this is the role for you

The Head of Food role at N Family Club will oversee all aspects of food service operations, responsible for driving exceptionally high standards in line with our Wildly Important Goals. Through strong leadership, guidance and operational rigour, you will be responsible for menu planning and ensuring the highest standards of quality and hygiene in all kitchens.

You will be responsible for working closely with the nutritionist, seeking external best guidance, and ensuring N remains ahead in its approach to food management. This will include managing a team of Support Chefs, ensuring the smooth running of our kitchens and that all policies and procedures are implemented effectively. The Head of Food will also work closely with the Head of Education and Health and Safety Manager to ensure that support for nurseries is targeted and effective and that all standards are met. There will be a requirement to lead on, and conduct, training to ensure the effective induction and ongoing development of our Chefs, Support Chefs, including temporary cover Chefs.

This is a full time, field-based role.

**What do you need to bring with you?**
- Significant experience in a leadership role within the food industry
- Strong understanding of food safety standards
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful food strategies
- Extensive multi-site experience of cooking to a commercial level, ideally within a nursery kitchen
- Experience of leading operations in a rapidly scaling business, evolving systems, teams, policies, and procedures to leverage efficiencies of scale
- Menu design experience
- Level 3 Food Hygiene, Level 3 Food Safety
- Full clean driving licence

**Some of your responsibilities will include**:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive food strategy that supports N Family Club’s Wildly Important Goals and objectives
- Support the evolution of the kitchen design in partnership with our Design Manager, ensuring effective storage and kitchen appliances are effective and maintained
- Create and manage the annual food budget, including the cost of food, labour, and other expenses, working with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices
- Train and develop our team of nursery Chefs and Apprentices across all sites
- Work with the site management teams to ensure our Chefs deliver best-in-class customer service and maintain a positive rapport with children and parents
