Cherryharbour Nursery is looking for a Nursery Assistant to join their team. As a Nursery Assistant, you will be provided with on-the-job training form our qualified team and you will have the opportunity to work towards becoming a qualified practitioner and gain a childcare qualification. We are looking for someone who has had experience working within an early years setting and has the willingness to learn and grow within this role.
Our Training and Development Team offers two childcare qualifications, the CACHE Level 2 Certificate in an Introduction to Early Years Education and Care which aims is to prepare learners to work with children between birth and five years, with knowledge of children up to seven years. Learners could also progress on to the CACHE level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators.
Within the role of a Nursery Assistant, you will ensure children are kept safe and that staff understand and follow safeguarding procedures and you will need to engage as a professional member of the team, exhibiting a flexible attitude and willingness to develop new skills. Most importantly you will need to ensure that each child’s individual needs are met, and you deliver a high standard of professional care and education in a caring, safe, and secure environment in which all children can play, learn, and develop.
Our Cherryharbour Nursery is open from 7.15am - 18:30pm and we would require our staff to be able to work varied shift patterns between those times. We have an fantastic outdoor play area, indoor sensory room, five start rated kitchen and proudly are an Ofsted Outstanding Provider.
