Early Years Nursery Practitioner

We are looking for a practitioner who is kind, caring and fun. We have a friendly, well established team. Great changes are underway and you could play a part in the creation of something very special. The nursery has extensive outdoor provision and is located in Kelso where children spend much of their day out of doors. We have a minibus for outings and take regular walks within the community.

Ideally applicants will have had a minimum of 2 years experience in practice. We would however consider someone who is enthusiastic about childcare, confident with young children, and willing to learn.

If unqualified we offer the opportunity to undertake a fully funded SVQ Level 3 qualification in SSCYP. This qualification enables you to register as a practitioner.

If you have a qualification there may be an opportunity to develop your practice and undertake the SVQ4 which is a management based award which can support access to study towards BA or PDA9.

We can offer to the right person the following good terms:

- 28 days fully paid annual leave
- This is a full time position probably over 4 1/2 days per week however we would also consider compressed hours at the discretion of the manager and the needs of the nursery.
