Developing a detailed, time based, production schedule in response to customer requirements
- Supplying the Production department with manufacturing plans and Works Orders that meet customer requirements to ensure the necessary labour, materials and capacity are available to meet demands
- Reviewing and monitoring work schedules and capacity planning systems to identify capacity constraints and bottlenecks
- Resolving issues in a timely manner to prevent delays in the shipment of goods to customers
- Maintaining inventory stock level of sub assembly and finished goods in line with lead times
- Providing regular progress reports to Management including recommendations for production and team-based efficiency improvements
- Reviewing the planned vs actual percentage attained on a daily basis
- Actively look for improvements to the planning process within the business & offering support for new initiatives
- Reporting & analysis
- Exception/suggestion messages
- Inventory & cycle counting

The ideal applicant will have previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. They will also demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

- GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent
- Third level qualification is desirable
- Experience in a Supply Chain or Distribution role
- Proficient in Excel, MRP systems and generally, strong IT skills
- Experience working within projects teams is desirable
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Previous experience of using an ERP system would be advantageous
- Willingness to travel across all sites
- Mathematically and statistically inclined, with the ability to work with large amounts of data
