**Your New Role**

TT Games are looking for a talented Lead Game Designer with proven Lead Design experience to take on a key role on an exciting new LEGO game based on a major IP.

Reporting to the Assistant Design Director, you will be responsible for leadership and day to day management of a design team and ensuring high quality delivery of gameplay features and content.

**Your Role Accountabilities**

Alongside the Assistant Design Director, you will help to evangelise the game vision, ensuring it is clearly communicated to your team and carried through into the game’s design and implementation.
- You will be responsible for an area of the games design and lead a team of designers to deliver these to high quality, on time, and in line with the creative vision of the game and IP
- You will ensure your design team understand the vision and design of the game, holding regular reviews and providing feedback so their work meets the required quality bar. You will also support feedback from other disciplines, the Design Director, and User Research.
- You will produce and maintain documentation including the GDD, and ensure that design changes are clearly communicated within the Design and other disciplines
- You will closely collaborate with other disciplines, understanding their role and building a positive relationship to ensure that they are involved in the design process.
- Establish and communicate best practice, and improve the design workflow for your team
- You will ensure team members follow agreed development practices as well as ensuring that their work maintains stability and quality throughout development
- You will work with the production teams to verify your teams task estimations, and the team are delivering their work to deadlines at quality.
- You will oversee, mentor & coach the designers and take an active role in their career development, including annual appraisals and goal setting.
- You will encourage a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and respect.
- You will identify key hires for your team and take an active role in the recruitment process.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Extensive experience in design on AAA action-adventure titles, with at least one title shipped in a Lead position on console or PC.
- A broad knowledge of all aspects of game design with a deep understanding of several areas of specialisation, such as game mechanics, level design, combat design, systems design, progression, and usability.
- Understanding player motivations and psychology
- You should be able to describe the approaches and techniques that create engaging and fun gameplay in modern action-adventure games
- Experience in the design of open world action-adventure games an advantage.
- Leadership experience, including the running of a multi-person design team; people-management, mentoring, line-management.
- A passion for creating fun and accessible games for children and families.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional experience writing high quality design documentation.
- Experience of UE4/UE5 an advantage
