**Assistant Buyer**

Monday to Friday

9.00am - 5.00pm

35 hours per week

**Grade 2 + Benefits**

**The Role**:

- Assisting the Trading Manager in all aspects of chasing and preparing documentation to be processed;
- Liaising with suppliers to confirm internal promotions and seasonal ranges;
- Updating and maintaining current databases allowing other members of the trading team to have accurate information;
- Claiming retros and invoicing at the end of promotions, sending volumes and calculations;
- Supporting the Trading Manager to prepare for exit planning, clearance programmes and discontinued lines.

**Applicants should have**:

- The ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Excellent problem solving skills, and confidence to make quick thinking decisions;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages;
- Experience of working in a Retail environment would be beneficial, but not essential.
